Group Yoga Classes - Wednesday evenings & Saturday mornings
Our Group Yoga classes aren’t just about physical exercise but also about nurturing a deeper connection to yourself, fostering mindfulness, and promoting overall well-being. All class levels will focus on the breath, presence, and mindful movement.
Gentle Yoga Saturday - a slower-paced, less intense style of yoga that is perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels. In this class, you can expect to do a variety of poses, including standing poses, seated poses, and floor poses. The poses are modified to make them accessible to everyone, and Jana provides additional guidance on how to safely modify each pose as needed. Sign up for Gentle Yoga Classes here.
Yin Yoga Wednesday - a restorative and meditative yin style yoga session designed to help you unwind from the day and prepare for a relaxing evening. Yin Yoga involves long-held, passive floor poses, which are held for longer periods of time to stretch and lengthen connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, and bones. In addition to helping you improve your flexibility, range of motion, circulation, and emotional balance, Yin Yoga also helps relieve symptoms caused by stress, depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbances. With nearly 15 years of experience as a surgical assistant, my career took an unexpected turn after a life-altering car accident on the day of a close friend’s funeral. This event led to the development of dystonia, a movement disorder categorized as a type of Parkinsonism. Following this diagnosis, I stepped away from surgery and turned to Yoga as a path to tap into my body’s innate healing intelligence.
Driven by a desire to deepen my personal practice, I became a registered Yoga Teacher (YTT 200) with Yoga Alliance and opened my business, Heal for Real Yoga. I am currently pursuing an advanced 300-hour YTT registration. Upon completion, I will hold a 500-hour YTT designation, enabling me to serve others with an even broader skill set. Additionally, I am a certified Reiki Master, offering both Reiki sessions and attunements.
Through Yoga, Reiki, Breathwork, Meditation, and Massage Therapy, I’ve discovered profound healing and cultivated a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection. I have learned firsthand how vital bridging the mind, body, and spirit is through Movement & Breathwork. These practices have not only transformed my life but have also fueled my passion for making healing accessible to everyone, regardless of physical limitations or experience. As a person with a disability, I understand firsthand the importance of finding adaptable and inclusive solutions to meet each person’s unique needs.
It is my mission to share these transformative tools, and empower others to connect with their bodies, bridge the mind-body gap, and embark on a journey of authentic healing. Whether you are new to these practices or seek deeper insight, I am here to guide you every step of the way.
