A series of mind-body exercises developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. Originally called "Contrology," the system of Pilates core principle is designed to create fluidity in range of movement, strengthening and stability, all while developing awareness of breath, focus and deep connection to the postural centerline, "Axial Elongation".
